  • GSP vs. Pitbull

    IMO this is going to be the Fight of the Night. I like both fighters, they are both really good, but the decision to pick one of them is kind of easy for me, if I don´t think about it. Because if someone asks me who I think will win, then I would say GSP without even thinking about it. But when I do think about it, then its even more intersting, and deficult to pick one. Because I do not think that GSP can outpower Thiago Alves. Alves will be too big and strong, so maybe GSP won´t even be able to control him on the ground.

    This could be a very big factor in the fight, the strenght and size of Alves. I´m not saying that GSP ain´t that strong, GSP is also really strong, but Alves is more stronger. You would think that GSP is more experinced, but if you look at thier fight records, then Alves has had more fights then GSP. Alves may be the stronger of the two, but I belive that GSP is much more faster then him, so it would be strenght vs. speed. I do also belive that GSP is more technical.

    If the fight stays on thier feet the whole fight, then the chances of Alves cathing GSP with a big punch will increase. But I´m sure that GSP will be aware of it, and have a second gameplan, if he can´t take Alves down, or control him. And I hope that GSP has been focused on that Alves is good at timing the takedown, and deliver a knee. GSP is fast though, both with his hands and his feet, so I think that he will be able to stay away from the power of Alves.

    After all this thinking I still belive that GSP will retain his title July 11th.

  • BJ vs. KenFlo

    This is going to be a war. Both guys are very talented. Kenny is on a 6 fight win streak, after his loss to Sean Sherk. Kenny has very dangerous elbows, and good jiu-jitsu. On the other hand BJ is on a 1 fight lose streak. But that loss was to the welterweight champion, so it shouldn´t move him much down as far as the rankings in the lightweight divison. I had figured out that BJ would lose, and it was because of the weight IMO. BJ is the king at 155, and GSP is the king at 170. So I think that BJ will come out angry to show that he still is the best at 155. And what makes this fight even more interesting is that GSP is helping Kenny to get ready for BJ. But Kenny is not GSP, and this fight will not take place at 170 (These where the two big reasons that BJ lost IMO)..

    So I see BJ returning to the BJ we saw against Stevenson and Sherk. I think that BJ will TKO Florian in the 4th round .. But I have no disrespect to Florian, he is a good fighter, and I wounldn´t be surprised if he would shock BJ and take his titel ..
