OK, I watched the entire Machida v Rua fight. First of all, not a great fight by any stretch of the imagination. Machida did his usual running away, and Rua looked a little unprepared. Having said that, there is no way in hell, and I dont care what you say, Machida DID NOT WIN THAT FIGHT!. Rua won the first round, I dont think there is any argument anywhere about that. Rua won the second round, not alot of argument there. Shogun probably took the third, but it was close enough to be a toss-up. Machida definetly won the 4th, with Rua taking the 5th. Thats three rounds to two rounds (maybe even one round, with the 3rd being a toss-up) What fight were the judges watching? It wasnt the same fight I was watching obviously. I understand to take the belt, you have to decisively beat the champ, but Machida lost his belt as much as Rua won it.Im sick of the hip swiviling no action Machida. He beat an overconfident Rashad Evans, and thats really all hes done. Hes a terrible champion, and as much as I dislike Rampage Jackson, even he was a better champ. Not sure if a rematch does anything, as this fight was a snoozer. Machida better decide pretty quickly if he wants to engage other fighters, or just be "ELUSIVE" as Joe Rogan overstates. Being "ELUSIVE" is another word for someone who doesnt engage the other fighter!
