Stick with what works...

Looking at the Couture vs Nogueira fight i really think Randy prepared for the Nogueira that fought Mir. Staying on the outside rather than getting in the clinch was a bad idea. Nogueira's got the reach on Randy and he's got a killer jab. Randy should have put a relentless pressure on him from the start,clinched with him,driven him into the fence and used his dirty boxing and will imposing pressure to wear him down. Scored points on short body shots,hooks,uppercuts,take downs and ground and pound. With that said..Randy's boxing and foot movement was impressive. He's gotten much more crisp in his boxing. And his abillity to get out of those submission attempts was amazing. In that sense i think the Randy we saw this time was the best Randy so far. If there is to be a rematch in the future i think Submission defence and strength should be Randy's tools. From there on everything else comes to play by itself.
