my take on the strikeforce event..
i don't think i stand alone when i say this, but the main reason i tuned into the event in the first place was soley for the main event..i watched the first bout of the night that featured werdum against big foot silva and after that i only caught glimpses of the next two fights because i kept flipping between cbs and spike during commercials. i figured mousasi would pull through in his fight-as expected and i wasn't too interested in seeing jake shields lay n pray miller lol. in any case when the rogers-fedor bout started i almost shifted gears and started rooting for brett rogers.!! i think they said he was a 6-1 underdog and his first round performance almost lead me to believe that rogers was the 'chosen one'..the cut fedor received from that jab kinda scared me, but i had the gut feeling that a jab to the nose wasn't going to be enough. rogers was surely landing bombs and i was definitely on the edge on my seat..i saw the first round more of a feeling out process for fedor..but that lead to the right hand heard 'round the world in the second round! simply a fitting way to end a pretty epic fight between one of the top p4p guys in the world against a worthy undefeated rogers..though i gained a lot of respect brett after his showing tonight! props to both guys. i'd def tune into a rematch if it happens!
