  yea i agree, Fitch is not welterweight champion because GSP is...but, if there was no GSP then Fitch would be champ no doubt...He has beaten just about everyone in the 170lb division with the exception of his teammates, Koscheck and Swick. Fitch is an amazing fighter. well rounded and tough as they get with a huge heart---everything a champ is made of. Rumble is badass but i feel like he needs to be showcasing in 185 after he destroy's Koscheck. GSP will rule as champ until he decides to retire..thats just my opinion.

  Fitch couldn't beat alves (now) and GSP but ANY OTHER welter weight in the world id pick fitch. It sux to be a gatekeeper but hey man thats the fight game. Fitch is a good wrestler and a competent striker and he has good BJJ. but he isnt great at anything, Alves would destroy him on the feet and GSP would out wrestle him (he couldn't take Alves down either, great take down defense). the future dosen't look to good for Jon Fitch.

  Jon Fitch may never beat GSP but nobody else in that division will either. Fitch is the second best fighter in that division hands down.

  your from indiana and your a wrestler.....how do you not like jon fitch? he went to purdue! lol well anyway i see jon fitch beating swick, alves, hughes, hardy, and kos if they ever fought. i think jon would beat all of those guys

  Jon Fitch.... he had his shot but he cant get back to where he was before he fought GSP back in ufc87 he was finishing his fights so well it was an art but now hes become a lackluster fighter who cant seem to finish his fights anymore but if he beats pierce in 107 he might be back to his old self but nah he cant beat GSP and cant be a champion
