UFC 100 - 1,720,000 (Lesnar vs. Mir II) - new record climbing over UFC 99 by 1.3 million buys. WTF happened?

UFC 99 - 360,000 (Franklin vs. W. Silva) and again it dropped by almost 300k

UFC 84 - 475,000 (Penn vs. Sherk)

UFC 83 - 525,000 (St. Pierre vs. Serra II)

UFC 82 - 325,000 (Silva vs. Henderson) dropped again

UFC 81 - 650,000 (Lesnar vs. Mir)....(really Sylvia vs Nogueira)

UFC 80 - 225,000 (Penn vs. Stevenson) only too drop 400k more

UFC 67 - 350,000 (A. Silva vs. Lutter) dropped 700k........amazing drop in buys

UFC 66 - 1,050,000 (Liddell vs. Tito II) - new record PPV's finally soared into hundred thousands, but the best PPV's were still from 3 guys. Chuck Liddell, Randy Couture, and tito Ortiz.

UFC 65 - 500,000 (Hughes vs. St. Pierre)

UFC 64 - 300,000 (Franklin vs. A. Silva)

UFC 63 - 700,000 (Hughes vs Penn II)......the only PPV too make it without Tito in the picture.

UFC 60 - 615,000 (Hughes vs Gracie) - new record

UFC 59 - 415,000 (Tito vs. Griffin)

UFC 58 - 290,000 (Franklin vs Loiseau)

UFC 57 - 400,000 (Couture vs Liddell III) - new record Compare this to the ones undreneath.

UFC 56 -200,000 (Franklin vs. Quarry)

UFC 53 - 90,000 (Arlovski vs. Eilers)

UFC 52 - 280,000 (Couture vs Liddell II) - new record Other than this fight, all the other PPV's climbed. But never progressed til this one. Only guys that can sell a PPV are Chuck Liddell, Randy Couture, and tito Ortiz

UFC 51 - 105,000 (Ortiz vs. Belfort).........Made more than Couture/Belfort. Non title fight.

UFC 50 - 40,000 (Ortiz vs. Cote)

UFC 46 - 77,000 (Couture vs. Belfort II)-

UFC 45 - 40,000 (Hughes vs. Trigg)

UFC 44 - 94,000 (Couture vs. Ortiz).......Tito makes PPV's

UFC 43 - 49,000 (Couture vs. Liddell)

UFC 42 - 35,000 (Hughes vs. Sherk)

UFC 41 - 60,000 (Rodriguez vs. Sylvia)

UFC 40 - 150,000 (Ortiz vs Shamrock) Beofre this fight all PPV's were under 55,000 buys. Only Tito was the big draw against Vlady at UFC 33

UFC 39 - 45,000 (Rodriguez vs. Couture)

UFC 38 - 45,000 (Hughes vs. Newton)

UFC 37 - 50,000 (Lindland vs. Bustamante)

UFC 36 - 55,000 (Barnett vs. Couture)

UFC 35 - 35,000 (Penn vs. Pulver)

UFC 34 - 60,000 (Couture vs. Rizzo)

UFC 33 - 75,000 (Ortiz vs. Matyushenko) - Return of UFC to PPV

Its amazing too see from their humble beginnings, to where they are now. But look at the inconsistancy that UFC has made. Lesser cards means stacked cards, and worth buying....

Do one stacked card for a million bucks a month, or three not-so-stacked, but still awesome cards for 400k a piece a month? And this way you can spread out and preserve big fights and not toss 'em all on one and bust on the next

But that's mere speculation. We don't really know that's the reason. And UFC has the talent pool to keep goin' as they are. Like I said, it all just looks the same since the earlier part. The only difference is now all the cards break 100k. Besides, if you don't have the money to afford three cards a month, buy one or two. I don't think they have the idea that each card is going to get everyone throwing money. Think their idea is that any amount of people will be throwing around their money more often than not. .

With lesser/and stacked cards UFC can produce a better card worthy of buying. Like Rollins said UFC 102 suffered cos of the close proximity of UFC 101, and 103 that surrounded UFC 102. SO it suffered by choice, same as UFC 103 which didnt do so well either. UFC 104 was also a disappointment. But it sold a couple 100k buys. Thats still great, but will never eclopse UFC 100.

And yes too whoever said it that Brock vs Fedor would make 2 million easy, I say almost 3 million, but thats just me!!!!
