there's nothing more to discuss other than those we already know and discussed much about. gsp is as well-rounded as a well-rounded fighter ought to be. he comes to a fight well prepared physically, mentally, strategically. and, yeah, there's no need to argue about him being amongst the best p4p fighters in the world.
i believe though that thiago has a bunny to pull from his hat come ufc 100.
watch thiago alves in an interview and you see that fire in his eyes. the kind of fire that tells you all he sees is winning and that he is blind to everthing else. you listen to him and you don't hear empty trash talk but the guttural growl of a predator about to pounce. by now he would have learned from his fitch loss not to be careless. by now he would have plugged the leaks in his game. by now he would have improved his strengths. by now he's ready to take on any one.
i see the first few minutes of the fight spent where both fighters are measuring each other. gsp could very well draw the first blood but alves will look [and succeed] to reciprocate. gsp gets clocked [surprised by the strength of alves] and he despairs for a take down again and again. his end begins henceforth.
save for fitch [where he had to settle for a ud], gsp has been spoiled taking on [arguably] smaller, weaker opponents but thiago alves will show him how bullying is done.
